Slow week...

Well, it's been kind of a slow week at the bungalow...but today, I took a big step and chopped down the evergreen on the west corner of the front of the house, where I plan to put the Sutherland Gold Elderberry I purchased. The stump proved really tough to deal with, and I actually have a pretty good scrape down the back of my arm, from sliding down the brick wall while trying to kick the tree, using the wall for leverage.

Also, lots o' flowers are blooming really well.

But, I went to the Sox game this evening, so I didn't have any time to take any pics, and I'm off to Utah for work for a little while, so you'll all have to be patient. :)

Have a great couple of days, and I'll see you all on the other side...

You should have told me that you were going to the game. I was there with my dad.

Luis: Sorry...didn't realize you were going. We were in the Stadium Club the whole time anyway, what with the weather as it was. :)

Basia: I haven't removed the stump yet, even though I tried for about two hours to dig it out and kick it out, and it barely budged. Probably what I'm going to do is find my ax and just wail on it with the ax until it is a demolished pile of underground junk that hopefully will decompose over time and feed the bush(es) I'm putting there. The roots are really deep and nearly straight down, so it shouldn't interfere, I don't think, with the Elderberry for a few years...and by then, it'll hopefully be decomposed and feeding the Elderberry roots.
